As we're sure you've noticed by now, this site is free of charge to all. It has no ads (inline or popup) running on it. Your email address isn't sold to marketing companies, and we don't spam millions of people every night from our servers advertising enlargement, enhancement, or supplement drugs of any kind. So how do we manage to keep this site running?
It's not as easy as you would think. The servers used to house Journal Community require maintenance, electricity, and most importantly, internet connectivity. The code is periodically updated or improved to keep the site up to date. All of this costs money. For the most part, we do this for free because we design interactive websites such as this one and computer network solutions for a living. We didn't have to invent the wheel to make this work. But as you've seen from above, there is a lot that has to be kept up. In order to continue keeping the site up and running, we need some help from you.

"But I don't know anything about servers or programming. How can I help?"

You don't have to know anything about those things - we know those things, so we don't need help there. But here are some area where we could use some help:

Help us by sending a few dollars our way to help with the site. We don't have a minimum donation amount, so any amount will be accepted greatfully. Will you get added priveledges or anything special? Nope. But rest assured that we'll put your funds to good use, even if we have to wait until we have enough donations to buy something substantial for Journal Community. Your donation may go to a new server, or we may use it to pay a part of the electric bill. One way or another, your donation will help. (All donation information including the amount will be kept confidential)

How do I get money to you?

We have an account set up with PayPal. PayPal accepts Credit Cards, Checks, and Transfers from other PayPal accounts (if you have one). Your transactions with them over the internet are encrypted, so it is much more secure than anything we could set up in a short amount of time. Try it - it's very painless and easy! Just click on this link, which will open a new, secure browser window.

As Journal Community grows, it becomes more and more difficult for us to maintain the site. There's a lot to do! If you're interested in helping maintain the site, contact us! We might have something that we could use your help on!
